[identity profile] next-mas-mods.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] nextgen_mas
Yes, we know it's been said before, but we just want to thank you all again for participating in the fest. We love each and every author, artist, prompter, reviewer and lurker (yes, we know you're out there :P) because without you this fest would have not been so much fun to run and be a part of.

All this being said, this was our first time running a fest, so we'd love to get feedback on how you think it went so we can improve upon things for next year. A number of you have already told us that you enjoyed it/loved it etc in comments on other posts, but now here's a chance to elaborate on that if you want to.

Was there anything you didn't like?
Was there that could be improved?
Was there anything you don't want us to change?
Is there anything you would like to see added to the fest?

Pretty much you can tell us anything.

All we ask is that if you do have any criticisms please voice them politely. Comments are screened.

This is likely the last post you'll see from us in a while, so we hope you all have a great year! ♥

Maybe the reveals date could be a bit later in the future, maybe a week after the last fanwork has been posted. I didn't have enough time to catch up on everything before the reveals this year and it is always a little more exciting (at least for me) when the authors are still anonymous.

Oh, you should! Even if it's just like, podfics of this year's fic, you know? Yay!

I'd been thinking of it since I saw [livejournal.com profile] hp_podfic_fest. I'm all for more inclusion, particularly when it also helps visually impaired people (and others), so we're definitely going to think hard about how we can include podfics in the next fest. :)

I LOVED [livejournal.com profile] hp_podfic_fest! If it's feasible next year, I'd enjoy it! Hell, I'll even pay for the webhosting if you decide to do it! ♥

that is an awesome offer. :) we'll see how goes, though. (I'm already paying for a website and there's loads of storage space on it, so it might not be necessary.)

But, but... I don't want my comment to be screened because I have so many awesome things to say about you guys! ;_;

First, this has been one of the most interactive fests I've ever been a part of. I loved the meme and your occasional reminders! More than anything, I appreciated how you each spent time reading and reviewing our work before posting it (btw, thank you again for catching the couple of mistakes that were left in mine. Your eagle eyes were much appreciated!) and even went out of your way to comment on each story individually. I think people are nervous to be the first to say something and the fact that you both went out of your way to smooth that over was fantastic. Your time really means alot to me (and to the rest of the writers/artists, I'm sure!).

Second, you guys were super quick! Any questions/issues I had were answered in less than a day (and no, it's not because one of you is on my flist. ;D) and you guys started posted so soon after submissions! You timed these stories out great and it made it so easy to enjoy them on my way to work or on my way home. I didn't read much of [livejournal.com profile] hd_holidays but I did read a ton of stories from this fest! And I still have quite a few to finish...

Third, ILU. You're perfect. Thanks. ♥

I think overall you did a brilliant job. I liked that there was a regular posting schedule, since nothing annoys me more than posting fic/art one day then nothing for a few days etc.

I would have preferred to have the entries on LJ though instead of clicking on the dreamwidth link, then clicking through the "Discretion Advised" every time and then clicking back to LJ to comment. A lot of clicks even if the fic was short.
I'm also a person who prefers longer entries to be posted in parts on LJ rather than relying on an off-site hosting.

Thanks for the last-minute corrections on my fic, I really appreciated it. I also appreciated how enthusiastic and kind you two were :). This was the first fest I'd ever participated in, and it was great fun.

I'm afraid I don't have any more helpful suggestions. Just wanted to drop a note and say I appreciated how organized (but friendly) this fest was. Thank you!

You guys did a wonderful job, honestly. I was a fest maniac towards the end of 2011, and this was by far the most friendly environment (ironically enough, [livejournal.com profile] hp_darkfest is next on that list of friendly happy times). It was timed out really well, too--I didn't have to wait forever to finally see fic after submissions were due. I hope to participate next round!

You guys were fantastic for putting up with me and the 10 extensions or whatever I needed as my fic grew out of control :) Thanks again for running this because it's awesome!

The mods -
